Note: Removing the wrong files or registry keys may be disastrous. Take necessary precautions and make sure you understand what is being told below.
To remove the Dell Backup and Recovery:
- Exit the Dell Backup and Recovery tray icon; you may have to expand the hidden tray icons first, then right click the icon and select exit
- Open Windows Explorer and browse to: C:\dell
- Delete ONLY the DBRM Folder and DBRM.ini file in the root
- Open the registry editor and delete the DBRMTray key from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
- Restart your system
